Answers to common questions about the Cornerstone browser and the Chrome and Edge extension.
Can I turn off the content protection?
No. Strict Safe Search and blocking are always on. If a good site is blocked, tap "Blocked by mistake?" on the blocked page and it will be reviewed.
How do I set up Family mode?
Open You → Settings → Family mode and choose a parent PIN. The PIN is then needed to change protected settings or clear history.
My church isn't listed.
Church listings come from What's Up Church. Your church can claim or add its page there.
Does Cornerstone keep my history?
The iPhone app keeps your history only on your iPhone, for 90 days. The extension keeps no history. See the Privacy Policy.
Chrome and Edge extension
How do I install it?
Open the Cornerstone listing in the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons and choose Add. Setup opens by itself: pick a language, your church and its tradition. See Cornerstone for Chrome and Edge.
Does it work in private windows?
Only if you allow it. In Chrome, open the Extensions menu, choose Manage extensions, then Details under Cornerstone, and turn on "Allow in Incognito". In Edge, the same switch is "Allow in InPrivate".
Chrome asked to keep my previous new tab page.
Chrome checks once when an extension changes the new tab page. Choose "Keep it" to keep Cornerstone's new tab.
How do I change my church or language?
Click the Cornerstone button in the toolbar, then Settings.
How do I remove it?
Right-click the Cornerstone button in the toolbar and choose Remove from Chrome (or Remove from Microsoft Edge). Everything it kept on your computer is deleted with it.
